Newport Wetlands is a great place for a day out and ideal for children and families. You can explore the vast reed beds and lagoons, watch wildlife from the hides, enjoy remarkable views of the Severn Estuary, or stroll through shady woodland on one of the many trails.

The nature reserve, owned and managed by the Countryside Council for Wales, has many different habitats. There is a variety of fascinating wildlife to see, from elusive bearded tits and wonderful waders, to colourful dragonflies and beautiful butterflies.
